Setting a flooring ICP for the GTA pilot
Define the customer you want so only relevant requests are routed. A matched opportunity is not a guaranteed sale or accepted quote.
What to define
Participating businesses set the criteria ReadyCustomer uses for matching. For the current flooring pilot these typically include:
- Service — residential or commercial flooring, specific materials (hardwood, vinyl, tile, carpet), installation only or supply + install.
- Geography — GTA or broader Ontario service area. Requests outside the area stay unmatched.
- Timing — need within 60 days. Longer horizons can be stored but are not auto-routed in the pilot.
- Minimum value — for example, budgets below CAD $2,500 are often disqualified when stated. Set the floor that covers your cost to quote and travel.
- Contact and consent — valid phone or email plus consent. No invented addresses; only published evidence where applicable.
How matching works in the pilot
One flooring business receives the opportunity at a time. There is a short acceptance window. Declined or expired offers can move to the next matching business. Non-flooring or non-GTA requests remain unmatched and are not routed.
Score thresholds (example: 70+) and hard filters are applied before routing. Exact rules can be adjusted as real acceptance and outcome data accumulate.
What this does not do
- Guarantee the customer will accept a quote or complete the job.
- Invent contact details or auto-send messages.
- Replace your own follow-up, quoting or fulfilment process.
- Provide marketing retainers or bulk lists.
You own the sales conversation. Outcomes depend on response speed, quote quality, market conditions and the customer’s decision.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the criteria later?
Yes. Pilot rules are refined with observed outcomes. Formal policies can be locked once sufficient data exists.
What happens to requests that do not match?
They are stored as unmatched. They are not automatically offered to flooring businesses outside the defined ICP.
Does ReadyCustomer send the emails?
No. It prepares drafts from published evidence for human review. You decide whether and how to send, and must comply with CASL.
